Thanks Garry
That all makes sense
Looks like the rims that I am looking at should fit with no problems

Re: Rim Offset
Thanks Rob Pictures appear to still have a fair bit of clearance to spring. When you measure 33mm is that rim mounting face to outer edge of rim on brake hub side. Just want to confirm we are talking the same thing. Would have thought brake hub would be wider than 33mm so not sure if I am confusing ...

Re: Rim Offset
Thanks John
Would be even happy if someone could take a picture underneath their Haffie so I can work out possible clearance to spring

Rim Offset
Hi All
Does any one know what the standard offset is for a standard rim is in millimeters?
I am looking at some after market rims that are 13x7 but the offset is 90mm.
Will these conflict with with suspension spring or conflict with anything else?

Re: 1974 Haffie Restore
Here are some pics of what I have on the go at the moment.
Had engine alloy parts aqua blasted and cleaned up and all the other panels I took into work and sand blasted and painted up.
Just a matter of the assembly now!

Re: 1974 Haffie Restore
Hi Adam Just starting to pull mine down as bought in pieces. Been cleaning up engine parts and painting a few bits at the moment and starting on the front section. Over the next couple of months I think it will be the steep learning curve. I am in South Guildford so if you are ever in the neighbourh...

Re: 82mm Bore & Pistons
Thanks Garry That sort of mod for me would be a bit over the top, I see on Haflingertechnik that you can purchase 82mm high compression pistons so I am leaning to that option so I am guessing it has been done. A little curious though if having high compression pistons is it going to create other iss...

82mm Bore & Pistons
Hi All Has anyone had any experience with boring out to 82mm and using the high compression or a standard piston? My barrels are measuing a little over 81mm but the tolerance i believe is 1.5 - 2 thou but i am more pushing 5 thou so would be to worn to run new 81mm pistons. Is there any Pros or Cons...

Re: 1974 Haffie Restore
Hi Gents Thanks for the heads up for more WA owners out there. At the moment I will start with the engine as it was stripped down when I purchased it. The chap I bought it from kept all parts in the one box so it’s just a matter of going through it all and clean up and assemble. Also was fortunate w...
