All that is beyond my capabilities. I need a versatile mechanic.
Thanks, John

My Hafie hasn't been stopping very straight, so I have finally removed a wheel and brakedrum. As I suspected oil, not brake fluid, all over the linings etc. How do I replace the axle seal?

Re: Portal boxes drain and fill threads sizes?
Thanks, OleOle wrote:The manual says straight 90w gear oil. But straight cut spur gears is not picky on oil.
I use 75w90 as it is easier to get a hold of where I live. I imagine it is slightly thinner when cold so I get more of the 27hp to the wheels. But that could be all in my head.

Re: Dynastart pulley / nut issue
How do you hold the dynastart pulley while you undo the nut? I have a matched pair of new belts to fit.

Re: Engine Temperature Monitor
I believe my engine temp on a long run is too high. One of the related problems is that I think the fuel is vapourising. I'm just wondering where the factory fuel pump is mounted on an original Aussie delivered 700APT? It appears that my car is missing ducting which would run from the main housing o...
