Wheel nuts
I have finally found some original Haflinger wheels, but I purchased my Haf with alloy wheels and they use different wheel nuts. Has anyone found any alternative wheel nuts off some other vehicle that would be suitable? Original Haf wheel nuts are hard to find over here!

Re: wiring diagrams
The can be an issue with earthing problems for the metal front Haflingers in that the metal front is fitted INTO the platform section and has a sealant of some kind smeared between the two. It relies on the bolts to provide the electrical earth connection between the two bit of metal. This can, due...

I'm interested the answer to Gary's questions also. I've always assumed that Hafs came over painted ready for sale and not painted at all in Oz.

Re: Dynastart pulley / nut issue
Well - so much for my "matched" pair of fan belts!! Currently one is tightish and the other is quite slack. When I fitted the (new) belts in November, I placed the same quantity of spacers between the pulley halves for each belt. So now I nee to do it all again, but I want to check here wh...

Factory colours of Haffy parts
I am wondering if any colour photos exist of a new Haflinger in order to see what colour some components were painted when new. For example, the handbrake lever, the metal part of the air intake tube where it passes through the footwell, the "factory" towbar, the accelerator pedal and link...

Re: Master Cylinder Repairs
I have just been working on my lack of brake lights - someone had externally mounted a mechanical pressure switch near the brake pedal pivot point. This was possibly because one of the side plate cover screws was unbudgable. Now with both side plates of I can see a fluid leak where the brake fluid r...

Re: Carburetor in pieces!
Well, my carby kit and accelerator pump arrived from Scotland in very quick time. I have a friend who had just rebuilt two 45 Webers, so I threw him the challenge!! The carby was completely pulled down - brass fittings were soaked in CLR and other components each had their turn in the ultrasonic bat...

Is not a business as such - he holds the left over parts from the Haflinger factory in Melbourne in his backyard garage and sells by word of mouth - no emails or websites. I will send you his contact details via PM. Garry Just as an update to this thread. Tony Hrleja has passed all his spare-parts ...

Yes I can get you the measurements. From what i have been told the trailers were made in Austria and shipped to Australia. It has the original paint on the trailer, and there is some stencilled writing on the front of trailer which some is very hard to read, i would like to know what it says or eve...

There are some very good online articles on rebuilding and tuning the Zenith NDIX. One of these articles is on Expedition Imports website and another written by Ron LaDow is at http://porsche356registry.org/resources/tech-articles/troubleshooting-and-repair/480-rebuilding-zenith-32-ndix-carburetors...

Re: 703 for sale in Australia
Something to keep in the back of your mind in relation to a Haflinger - other than the running gear, the platform with two seats up front and a windscreen - Everything else is an optional extra! So the two tool boxes you have on the RHS are extras, the spare wheel is an extra, the cabin would have ...

Re: 703 for sale in Australia
Your other option is to pay a small fortune and get a build certificate from Scotland, based on the Chassis (gearbox) number. It tells you lots of info.
Here is one that has been posted up here previously.

Re: Who Can Rebuild and ReJet a Zenith Carby In Sydney or Ne
John, You're right, the parts book only lists it as M8. Can you get the nut off the other stud? If so you could use that as your pattern. Just make sure you clean out the thread in the hole of the missing stud so you can get the new stud all the way to the bottom to use as much thread as possible t...
