Hi there,
I have also made the experience that both pins and bushings are worn, BUT I have also seen Haflingers, where bushings and pins are still fine after many years of usage, because they were apparently greased every now and then...

Re: Rust Repairs - Poor design
Garry, I think you are correct regarding the side rail. I also think that it has been partly replaced. Except for the slightly different corner radius, does the profile look the same? Regarding the rust under the steering assembly, it might be worth removing the steering assembly before you start re...

Re: Rust Repairs - Poor design
Hi Garry, I have the same problem with the additional panel under the steering assembly. I drilled out the spot welds and removed the panel. My plan is to repair the panel and paint it with a zinc primer, then weld it back onto the front footwell (which should also be primed in advance). platform04....

Markus, can you maybe change the settings in a way that new members have to be confirmed by the moderator?

Re: Front Hubs
I recently replaced the swivel pins on my chassis. Both the pins and the bushings were worn (both lower & upper). But if there is only a small play, it might be only the bushings. You may remove the hubs and investigate before you buy the parts.

Re: Where was my Haflinger Made
Hi there,
one addition to Rick's post: On the Wagenstammkarte, you can see the word "zerlegt", which translates to "disassembled" and which clearly proves that this Haflinger was sent over to Australia as a kit.
Kind regards,
Constantin

Re: Where was my Haflinger Made
The younger Australian Haflingers were made in Graz, but then partly disassembled and sent to Melbourne as CKD (completely knocked down) kits. There was a small production site where the Haflingers saw final assembly. I have tried to document that on my website at: http://tdc.haflinger-4wd.com/count...

Re: SDP Logo
It looks quite good on my screen and I am happy with the result! I only find that the text "TheHaflinger.com" on the right side of the logo could be removed. Also, there is a "#"-sign (dash sign) in the very top left corner of the forum which should possibly not be there... just ...

Re: SDP Logo
Hi there, Julian, I altered your design a little bit, but I hope you like it! I added a white border around the text, because I find that the border from black to transparent doesn't look really good (you can see the pixels there). Maybe we can give it a try.... http://www.thehaflinger.com/download/...

Re: How do you use your Haflinger?
I would say that in Austria, you have very few chances to take the Haflinger off-road, especially if you don't live in the countryside. The best thing would be to own some land with woods and other interesting off-road possibilities, where you can play whenever you want. Or maybe know someone who ow...

Re: SDP Logo
Well done! If you agree, I'll pick up your suggestion!
Also, I think I have to do something about the border between transparent and black areas, because it doesn't look nice there with some bad pixels.

C.

Re: SDP Logo
How can one see the front page?
I can only see the board index when I go to the root URL thehaflinger.com. Logging out also doesn't help.
I think I could help with the logo and the Haflinger picture.

C.

SDP Logo
Markus,
maybe we can add the SDP Logo to the Forum header? I could also produce a smaller version that fits.

Re: Why two fuse boxes
Hi there, I also don't know why some civilian Haflingers had two fuse boxes, but I agree with Julian's thought that this was needed for more complicated electrics... e.g. the models for the UK market usually had special equipment like fuel gauge and wiring for trailer plug (plus trailer indicator co...
