HubNut ... with a DHSS engine

Her is one example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uJyJp8Iamg

Re: Putting 12v in to a 6v battery

Do you have the serial numbers of the Pathfinder? From those one can get a grasp of age etc.

It can inasmuch as IIRC the seal is put in after the two engines halves are joined together.

This happened to me a couple of years ago when John popped up to see me. I inadvertently left the ignition on and cooked the coil

Re: Rear passenger (UK nearside) Drum

John,

So sorry to hear about your father's passing. And with him being so far away must have made things even harder for you all.

Best Wishes,

Julian

Re: Rear passenger (UK nearside) Drum

Yikes - that drum looks horrible!

Is the cast back plate damaged as well? It looks like there is a crack at the top? That would be much harder to fix...

Insurance Co. stand, Birmingham (UK)

A spy tells me that this Haflinger was on an insurance company's stand at a classic car show in Birmingham today; does anyone know who's it is?

Re: Factory colours of Haffy parts

Of the things you mention, my understanding is that they are all black, with the exception of early dashboards (body colour) and I am fairly sure the original tow bar stuff was "silver" (or a shade thereof). I have attached a photo of all of the bits on my 1962 Haflinger that are painted b...

With a PTO I doubt it would have 6 seats - 5 perhaps? - but to be honest I am not sure what the rear seating accommodation was when a PTO is fitted.

Cleaning a carb every two years? Eeek!

I haven't even turned the key (or rather pushed the start button) on my Haf for almost two years now, and sadly have little enthusiasm to do so in the immediate future either ...
