Hi Garry, There are 2 plates , 1 each side of the bottom of the steering column ,if memory serves me right , I think there are 3 securing bolts on each plate, remove the plates , you can now access the nut at the end of the clutch cable , the cable can now be unhooked at the engine end and then slid...

Hi Garry. the metal collar has 3 little buttons ,1 on each side,press these in then the collar will prise up.

I have spoken to Dale at Haflinger Tecknik and he has checked one of his Haflingers and the wire connects to the small rectangular relay , terminal marked 30/51. between the starter solenoid and fuel filter .
