I have only used Bosch W5 AC plugs for a very long while
it is the recommended plug .
for both standard compression and high comp motors ,
do not have a problem with them .

Thanks Kerry - my handbook has the specified plug as a Bosch W225T1 and I have never found them. I believe the NGK equivalent is the one I have but not sure.

I might give the one have specified a try.

Cheers

that's interesting . as all i have specified is the bosch W5AC

and that is in original paperwork .

but a lot of other things can affect the running .
other than electrical , carby is very common .
and often it is the butterfly shaft . worn and sloppy holes changes the mixture a lot .
rebuilt a number by machining and fitting bushes in the carby body .
it makes a huge difference .
i can just turn the key and have a steady idle , hot or cold

Maybe the Bosch W5AC was specified for Aussie Haflingers and maybe more suitable so i will give it a try.

Gary,

Any chance you can look through this post and see if you can find all the pictures you referenced as Photobucket becoming private has killed them all.

I shall have to get round to pulling the front Diff off Lurch sometime soon, so this was a good read!

Ok done as best I can remember.

That Spamhaus problem lets me post once then it kicks in stopping me post but continually hitting the submit button allows the post to get through.

I am looking into the Spamhaus issue. Hopefully will get a fix for it.
