Re: brake information

Kerry

I have looked for these kits and they are around AU$40 each is this for a single cylinder or a pair? Do they contain all of the internal seals too?

Also do you have a reference for a seal kit and boot for the master cylinder?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Stainless Exhaust Manifolds

Hi Stuart

I just asked Dale and he has none. I have no idea what a custom manifold will be but i will let you know as soon as I find out.

John do you mean the pre-heat pipes for the carburetor on the Manifold? Or is this for a cab heater?

Stainless Exhaust Manifolds

Hi All Has anyone got a source for SS exhaust manifolds? If not I am considering getting some made by a custom shop up here in QLD. I am going to get then made to the original spec (or close to) with pre-heat pipes. Would anyone be interested in one? I reckon if I order a few it will be cheaper. I a...

Rear Cross-member & Spare Wheel Carrier

Hi All I am after a spare wheel carrier Part#: 700.1.64.030.2 and a Rear Cross-Member as in the image below. Both are for a MK 2 Haflinger. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee169/SAMCANNING/RearCrossMember_zps2a3240c9.jpg Give me a shout if you have either of these and are willing to sell them. Th...

Fuel Pump Gaskets

Hi All I have a question about Fuel Pump Gaskets. I am wondering what gaskets are correct for my fuel pump? I got this engine disassembled and the fuel Pump a Solex has one thin gasket stuck to it. I can see in my parts book that there are two gaskets 501.1.0810 and an insulating washer 501.1.0809 t...

LATE MODEL 1973 MK 2 SWB HARD TOP 700AP

Hi All For sale MK2 1973 Hard Top Haflinger. I am sadly having to sell off my Haflinger collection as I am moving and have neither the time, room or money to keep them. This vehicle is in ORIGINAL condition with no dodgy repairs. I am sure this has never been a farm vehicle not been used in since th...

EARLY 1963 SWB STEYR PUCH HAFLINGER FOR SALE

Hi All For sale MK1 1963 Haflinger with NO ENGINE! For its age the bodywork of this vehicle is in great condition. The previous owner told me the engine blew up early in the vehicles history (in the late 70s) and a VW conversion was attempted with no success (hence the strange back). It was subseque...

Re: Top Speed

Hello Gents Thanks for the replies is makes a bit more sense now. I think the 47 Mph I have seen translates to about 75 Kph and I have seen one at 70 Kph and also a Mk 1 at 40 Mph. I think I saw a late model on Ebay a while ago with a 56 Kph top speed which is pretty low geared. Also what is the lat...

Top Speed

Hi All I am just interested to know what the top speed figures are on the plates fixed to the dash of your vehicles. I know there were various gearing options on Haflingers and on the few Haffy's I have seen no two have been the same. I am talking about the plate which shows the speeds in various ge...

Dipstick Tube

Hi All

Does anyone know if the dipstick tube is threaded into the engine casing or if it is an insert in the casting?

I am getting some stuff plated and I am wondering if I can grip it and screw it out but I don't want to mess it up if it is an insert.

Thanks

Hi Steve

Do you have a part# for the copper shim?

Also do you know if they are still available?

Re: Engine strip down.

Hi All Thanks Constantin for the images it makes it very clear. What do you think about machining a shim or thin washer to sit on the face highlighted in Yellow. I have also highlighted it in yellow in the section view as well? http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee169/SAMCANNING/Flywheelshims2_zpsa5...

I think the governor is more there for PTO use to prevent it getting flogged for hours on end.

Re: Engine strip down.

Hi Julian

I forgot to mention the camshaft and the gears come as a set not just the gears. The large gear is riveted to the camshaft already.
