Re: Where was my Haflinger Made
Thanks Constantin! Garry, I have heard of a number of private imports into Australia. Thanks to Constantins detective work, a Haffie recently for sale in WA was identified as being an import from Africa and originally owned by a missionary. The Wagenstammkarte should provide the answer to your quest...

Re: Moderating new users
Looks like members 37 to 51 ( as of now) are all dodgy. Can they be removed?

Re: Where was my Haflinger Made
Garry Forgot to add note about compliance plates. The Australian Design Rules (ADR) came into force in May 1972, and at that time only related to seat belts and some other safety features. Subsequently some Haflingers were fitted with ADR compliance plates, and some were not. I spoke a few years ago...

Re: Where was my Haflinger Made
Hi Garry Im afraid there is no registry as such. My first suggestion would be to obtain the Wagenstammkarte as recommended by Constantin. Ive attached a copy for one of my beasties, obtained via Dale at Haflinger Technik. You can see who the vehicle was sold to- in this case it was Anti-Friction Bea...

Re: Haflingers at Waldersee Farm
Hi Jim
Nice work on the kommunal haffi, and the improvided trailer is great. Nice too that you have retained the original wheels and tyres. Look forward to hearing of your adventures.

Do the Moderators have the authority to remove the offending messages? This may help in the short term.

Re: Max from Italy
Hi Max. Nice that you could find Indonesian Army Haflingers. They are interesting as they I believe we're the first to use the cyclonic air filters up front and the tropical air vents- but still retains the provision for the convoy light. Is your plan to return it to original? Agree with Lenny that ...

Invitation for a Haflinger to join a 3 day adventure
Hello. I have received an invitation for a Haflinger to be involved in 4wd expedition to the Victorian Alps to join other vintage 4wd's, which be documented in a DVD and TV episode. It's soon, from 21 to 24 February 2013. The invitation reads as follows: Hope you had a great Christmas and that 2013 ...

Re: How do you use your Haflinger?
I'm lucky to only work 10 minutes from home, so I will sometimes drive my Pathfinder haffie to work and back. Although I can only get it to 80 km/h, it keeps up with Sydney traffic very well. It's certainly a head-turner, and I quite like that. It also gives me a feeling of how life was once before ...

Re: Categories for Haflinger Clubs
Markus Just supporting what Jim has suggested re sub-heading for clubs. I have no desire to manage a forum for the Australian haffy club close getting off the ground, so I would prefer to direct forum traffic from our new web-site here. I have 70-odd interested parties from Australia and New Zealand...

Australian Army Haflinger Restoration
Hello. Just introducing myself with a restoration project completed last March. Its an original ex-Australian Army Haflinger 700 APTL, Army Registration Number ARN 101-820. This is one of only 15 or so that I know remaining from 50 produced in early 1966. Ive tried to restore it to original as possi...
