In my life I have had many Haflinger, now I have 2, a 703 ex Indonesian army, directly imported from Indonesia in 2008, and another 703 waiting for restoration ex Army of the Belgian Congo (Zaire).
Sorry for my English, but I use an electronic translator .....

Haflinger from Indonesia, arriving at the port of Genoa, little changed ....
Hi Max. Nice that you could find Indonesian Army Haflingers. They are interesting as they I believe we're the first to use the cyclonic air filters up front and the tropical air vents- but still retains the provision for the convoy light. Is your plan to return it to original? Agree with Lenny that the congolese haffie is wonderfully original as it is.
Cheers

I think the Indonesian Haflinger remain so ....... while the former Congo Haflinger very fascinated in this condition, but I wanted to restore it to use it .....
In this regard, I miss some specific pieces for Haflinger tropical, maybe I'll ask you if you can recover anything ...
Max,
While in your beautiful country last June, on June 17, we were leaving Bolzano headed north toward Austria and passed a number of Haflingers both being driven and trailered, it looked like they were headed toward Bolzano. Do you know if that was an organized get together, and if so is it an annual event? Do you have any details about the event?
Thanks,
Bob
The village of Hafling is not far from Bolzano - maybe they were headed for there? A few years ago there was a Treffen held at Hafling, and we took my Haf down from the UK on a trailer. Amazing fun!
