Well, my carby kit and accelerator pump arrived from Scotland in very quick time. I have a friend who had just rebuilt two 45 Webers, so I threw him the challenge!! The carby was completely pulled down - brass fittings were soaked in CLR and other components each had their turn in the ultrasonic bath. WOW - what a difference - my Haf drives like a new car now, thanks to Ray V.

Glad to hear that utting new bits in a cleaned Carb has made a difference. I did my Carb about two years ago, so I suppose I should look at it again.

Cleaning a carb every two years? Eeek!
I haven't even turned the key (or rather pushed the start button) on my Haf for almost two years now, and sadly have little enthusiasm to do so in the immediate future either ...
